T-Mobile USA is planning to launch multiple Android devices with three manufacturer partners this year, possibly including a low-end handset powered by the mobile operating system. T-Mobile Chief Technology Officer Cole Brodman discussed the plans with GigaOM on Friday.
Brodman also hinted optimism about Android-powered netbooks, saying he'd seen demo versions of Android netbooks manufactured by Hewlett-Packard and Dell.
There are rumors that T-Mobile will launch the HTC Magic this year, and the company has seen success with its G1 Android-powered smartphone -- it has sold 1 million of the smartphone devices to date.
